Does it catch your eye the way it does mine?
Seriously, I can't get enough of it. I find it so utterly
fun and whimsical.
For a friend's wedding that my sister and I are planning this summer, we are creating a kids area just outside of the main dining room. It's a great space overlooking the ocean with beautiful wide plank flooring, and we are really excited to create a room that is fun and playful just for the little ones. Bunting is one of the things we are planning to use to build a sense of whimsy.
Often I wish that I was able to sew (it's on my Bucket List!) but especially when I see such simple things as bunting...because really, how hard could it be?
I want to make some too! But then I saw some pretty cute stuff in the birtday party isle at Target! Fabric! They have a new cute birthday line! & then I was thinking how easy it would be to just buy it :)
ReplyDeleteOh & I can not wait to see your kids area!!! I need to send my sister over to see your cute blog too!

Hello!
ReplyDeleteYou can totally do it! If not, ask Lib how to do it. She is totally the queen on not being able to sew, but actually being able to pull off sewing projects. My mom and I don't know how she does it, but she always does. She explains to us what she is going to do, we both shake our heads, that will never work. Then next thing you know, Lib has got it done.
Love your sweet blog, and I can't wait to see your wedding! Last fall we hosted a large wedding reception in our backyard, so I still have weddings on my mind!

Hi Trish,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my blog! I enjoyed it very much. Love your blog too!! I have something with bunting as well. It makes everything look so colourful and festive. Good luck with planning the wedding. I hope you will share some of the photo's with us!
Lieve groet,
Madelief

ReplyDeleteAuntie Cake ~ What an adorable name! And I just adore backyard weddings...so much charm and beauty in the simplicity of them. I love that you two are close sisters...I too am close with mine, she's the world to me! xo
Madelief ~ Thanks for stopping by! Your garden truly is gorgeous! I like to think that one day I will have a lovely garden, perhaps when life settles down just a bit, and my boys are a bit older...xo
